Single marker monochromatic portraits

This is an ongoing series of portraits where I use 1 alcohol marker, 1 coloured pencil and 1 white gel pen to create the portraits.

The series originally began as an exercise to challenge myself. I had anticipated that the majority of the rendering would be done using the coloured pencil. I was completely wrong! 

It's a delightful exercise in creating vibrant and interesting portraits with limited materials and colours.
